The ISB Intercultural Family Fair (IFF) is one of the most anticipated and vibrant community celebrations at ISB. It brings students together, families, teachers, and staff to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the school. Held annually in February, the IFF provides a unique and fun opportunity for the entire ISB community to experience and appreciate cultures from around the world in an engaging way. The event transforms the school into a lively global festival, filled with color, music, flavors, and shared experiences!
Food and Traditional Dishes

One of the main highlights of the IFF is the international food festival, where food from 18 different countries represented within the ISB student body is available for tasting. These food stalls allow visitors to explore a wide range of cuisines and traditional dishes, many of which are prepared using real recipes. Popular foods include Chicken pho from Vietnam, known for its rich and aromatic broth, Peking duck from China with its savory flavor, and Kimbap from Korea, a dish made with rice, vegetables, and protein wrapped in seaweed. The food area is always filled with excitement, as families and students line up to taste dishes from different cultures.
Workshops

In addition to food, the IFF features a variety of cultural workshops hosted by different nations. These workshops provide interactive and educational experiences, allowing participants to learn more deeply about cultural traditions and art forms. Countries such as India, Indonesia, Hungary, Bangladesh, Georgia, Japan, Myanmar, Türkiye, and Thailand host workshops that may include traditional crafts, dances, calligraphy, music, and clothing. These sessions encourage participation and give attendees a chance to engage directly with cultures from countries all over the world, making learning both fun and meaningful.
Activities

Alongside the cultural workshops, many student-led clubs at ISB also host activities during the IFF. These student booths add even more variety to the event, offering games and challenges that appeal to people of all ages. The involvement of clubs helps showcase student leadership, while also strengthening the sense of community across different grade levels.
Parade of Nations

Another major attraction of the IFF is the Parade of Nations, where students proudly represent their countries by wearing traditional clothing and carrying flags. This parade is a powerful and colorful symbol of unity and diversity, highlighting how many different cultures come together to form the ISB community.
Soi Dao Lucky Draw

A new and exciting addition to the IFF is the Soi Dao lucky draw, which added an extra layer of excitement to the event. Participants had the chance to win impressive prizes, including five-star hotel vouchers, iPads, Apple Watches, and many other rewards. The lucky draw not only brought excitement but also encouraged greater participation throughout the fair.
Overall, the ISB Intercultural Family Fair is more than just a school event, it is a celebration of diversity and inclusion. By bringing people together through food, culture, and shared activities, the IFF strengthens connections within the ISB community and helps foster greater understanding and appreciation of cultures from around the world!
