Three Things to Know - September 2017

Hurricane Maria:

With hurricane Irma and hurricane Harvey already devastating cities across the North America, South America, and places like the Caribbean and the Bahamas. After two devastating hurricanes, category 4 Maria is on course for North Carolina and many of the states on the East Coast. Hurricane Maria has already hit Dominica and the Virgin Islands leaving flooding, no electricity, and lack of food and water.

iPhoneX:

On September 12, Apple released two new iPhones. The Iphone 8, and the more surprising addition to the Apple brand, the iPhoneX. The iPhoneX is groundbreaking for the company, being the first phone with no home button, essentially being all glass. Some of the features include a face ID that can replace the finger scanner, wireless charging, and a 12 MP camera. But even with these new features, is the iPhoneX really worth its steep starting price of $999?

Senator Pushes the U.N. to expel North Korea:

Republican Senator, Cory Gardner, is asking 21 East Asian countries to cut all ties with North Korea. All these countries all have embassies in the capital, Pyongyang. Cory Gardner pushes this decision because of Kim Jong Un’s “nefarious behavior” and his nuclear tests and missile launches that go against the U.N policies. He believes that in order for Kim Jong Un to be apart of the U.N. he must “back away, drop the nuclear program, and then he can be welcomed once again.”
