Pre-IASAS Girls Tennis

Pre-IASAS+Girls+Tennis

The IASAS varsity girls tennis team is very strong this year! Last year, the girls received the silver medal, and this year they hope to bring home the gold. Assistant Coach Noop is confident that the team will be prepared to play with superb determination. He agrees that  the team is ready to compete and that the final three weeks of training and matches were crucial for preparation of  IASAS.

Coach Connor says that the girls have worked hard together in order to develop a strong team bond. He mentions that the team will be focusing on improving mental strength because he understands  that tennis can be a very stressful and challenging psychological game. He believes that the girls will need to be able to stay positive as much as possible in order to be the best they can be.

He also praises the team’s ability to support each other during the season. He adds that “they have created a very strong sense of team spirit and camaraderie, as they offer each other constant support.” Especially for the doubles pairs, they will be specifically focusing on their chemistry and ability to support each other during their matches because that is the key to success and victory.

Coach Connor also emphasizes  that all of the girls have worked diligently throughout the season. This year, the tri captains are Alina Chan (11), Pancake Hetrakul (11) and Ginne Na-Eak (11). The coaches praise their “strong and positive leadership,” and that “their efforts have definitely contributed to strong team spirit!”

The team has all improved immensely throughout the season. From their skills and condition to their competitive strategies, they are well-prepared for the oncoming IASAS tournament in Manila.
