Schedules constantly filled with tests, it seems like students are always desperately trying to learn some concepts last minute that they claim their teachers never went over.
Simply put, one of the more stressful part of test-taking is the cramming that comes before the test itself. But not all tests require preparation. PantherNation has devised a brief five question test that you can’t study for.
With this test, you can’t blame it on the teacher, and you can’t chalk it up to not having studied enough. Let’s get started. The answers are listed below.
1. There are two brothers. Brother A always tells the truth and Brother B always lies. Both of them have correct knowledge on everything.
What one question can you ask both brothers in order to find out who is who?
2. What flies when it’s born, lies when it’s alive, and runs when it’s dead?
3. There are 10 prisoners lined up single-file in a row. Each prisoner can only see the prisoners in front of him. They are each assigned a random hat, one that is either red or blue. The prisoners do not know how many hats of each color there are.
Starting from the back and moving forward, each prisoner must, one by one, guess the color of their own hat. If they guess correctly they are released. If not, they are killed on the spot.
The prisoners are allowed to formulate a plan beforehand. They end up coming up with a plan that ensures 100% survival for 9 prisoners, and 50% survival for 1 of them.
What is the plan?
4. A farmer must take a fox, a chicken and a sack of grain across the river. However, to get across, he only has a small boat that can carry the farmer and one of the three items. Left unsupervised, the chicken will eat the grain, and the fox will eat the chicken.
But, the fox won’t eat the grain, and no one will wander off.
How can the farmer get everything across without anything getting eaten?
5. There is a plane crash. Every single person dies.
Who ends up surviving?
