On the 13th and 14th of January, our Junior Varsity Basketball players took part in a friendly tournament hosted by ISB. ISB competed against our local international schools across Bangkok in preparation for BISAC, which will be held in a few short weeks. The Booster Club has proposed a new award this year to recognize those who demonstrate positive and lasting impacts within the ISB athletic program.
“Nominees for this award can be anyone who helps make our community a better place, adds spirit, demonstrates incredible courage or sportsmanship, or simply shows kindness and empathy for others throughout the season.” a message from ISB’s Athletic Director Derrick Quinet.
ISB is accepting nominations until February 7th. If you want to nominate someone to be recognized for this reward for the season two athletics program, please fill out this NOMINATION FORM.
ISB’s Junior Varsity Boys placed first out of the four competing schools, remaining on top of the scoreboard throughout all the games. Winning two of the three games by a good 20 points, and winning by just four points against ASB, the boy’s earned ISB a great win this season and will go confidently to BISAC in a few weeks.
The results from the games placing ISB in first for this years season two JV basketball friendly tournament:
ISB vs NIST: 40 -14
ISB vs ICS: 50 -13
ISB vs ASB: 39 – 35
The overall placements for all the competing schools who participated last weekend:
