With Christmas 45 days away and preparations being made, the most anticipated season is finally almost here. On Christmas not only should we give but appreciate the spirit Christmas offers. Here are the top 5 ways to get into the christmas spirit.
Number one is to make a christmas playlist, having christmas music playing in your room or around the house will really get you into the christmas mood. Great songs such as “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby, “O Holy Night” and “Believe” by Josh Groban are great examples, and help you lift your spirit.
Next, make a batch of Christmas cookies, not only are christmas cookies delicious but they will smell wonderful while baking and are sure to help out the Christmas fun. Decorate with some frosting, sprinkles and etc.
Watch a Christmas movie. You’ve seen them a million times, but they never fail to pull at the heart strings. Here are some all time favorite go-to films for getting a dose of the Christmas spirit: It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, A White Christmas and last but not least! Elf.
Hang up some christmas lights. Nothing quite puts the Christmas magic back in your heart like Christmas lights. Ordinary houses and trees are transformed into something extraordinary. It’s seeing the Christmas lights that lets you know it’s a special time of year. Be sure to check out cool displays around your neighborhood and walk around in a winter wonderland of a million lights.
And last but not least, put up a tree. Sometimes it is really hard to get motivated to really deck the halls. But a small apartment or dorm room is perhaps the single greatest sapper of holiday spirit. Throw up a few strings of lights and boughs of holly. Put up the tree which will bring the sights, lights, and smell of Christmas to your abode. If you do not have the room or money for a big tree, get a mini tree it is important to go through the ritual even in miniature.
