The Long Talk with Ms. Stewart
In an ongoing series at the end of the school year, PantherNation is sitting down with each of the teachers who will be leaving us at the end of the year for greener pastures. Though they may be moving on, they have all made a memorable imprint on ISB.
They will be missed!
In this edition, we will be talking with HS Activities Director and CAS coordinator Ms. Stewart.
How long have you been here at ISB?
This is my fifth year at ISB.
What roles have you had at ISB?
I started as a Science teacher, teaching Biology and ESS. I then became Head of the Science Department, and then this year I am the HS Activities Director and CAS Coordinator. Outside of the classroom, I’ve also been the Varsity Softball Coach, Varsity Touch Coach and the Debate and Forensics Coach.
When you look back over your time here, what are your favourite memories here at ISB? (students, clubs, teams, coworkers etc…)
This year has been a memorable year in terms of coaching – we won our first OO Gold Medal at IASAS CC and then won double Gold at IASAS Softball, so that was a great way to end my time coaching here. But I’ve loved my time here at ISB in general. I’ve coached and taught great students, who have made me love being involved. I’ve done GCW with Mr Bell for 4 years, and our trips have always been memorable, full of laughs and great adventures.
How do you want to be remembered at ISB?
As someone who cared and was involved across the school.
Tell us a little bit of where you are going next year?
Next year I will be moving to Vienna International School in Austria, as the Deputy Principal for Secondary.
Best of luck in Austria Ms. Stewart, thank you very much for both improving the CAS and the activities of ISB, we will miss you so much here at ISB and you will be remembered!
