Post Artist Under The Stars

The much anticipated show organized by the Arts Council “Artists Under the Stars” concluded last week. The show had a variety of performances ranging from peaceful singing to jazzy guitar solos. With a relaxing view of the night stars and bean bags, the performance was filled with both excitement and satisfaction.

The show was especially perfect for people under stress from IB and other extra curricular activities. Jillian L. Barton (11) a performer at Artists Under the Stars said, “I hope the people watching enjoy their time and listen to great performances to take a break from their somewhat overwhelming academic schedules”.

As most of the performers wanted the audience to relax and enjoy their performances, many of the audience members thought the performance was amazing and the overall show was very relaxing. Karolina Schneider (10), an audience member, explained, “I really liked the lighting of the stage and how relaxing it was.” Another audience member, Kiera Mcgraw (10), said how much she “liked the theme of all performances and the stage.”

As for the people who performed during the show, they had practiced a lot for the upcoming show and hoped the audience would really enjoy the hard work they had put in. Imogen  Alexander (11) performed “Waving Through A Window” from the musical Dear Evan Hansen.“I’ve probably practiced the song 15 times through. It is one of my favourite songs so practicing was the fun part” 

Overall the performance came out to be a great success and have entertained and relieved a lot of stress for high school students. The expectations from the performers have payed off through their hard work practicing for Artists Under the Stars.
