In an ongoing series at the end of the school year, PantherNation is sitting down with each of the teachers who will be leaving us at the end of the year for greener pastures. Though they may be moving on, they have all made an indelible imprint on ISB.

In this edition, we will be talking with HS Physical Education teacher, Ms. Blackshear.

1: How long have you been at ISB? 

This is my 4th year at ISB.

2: What positions have you held at ISB?

I have served as a HS Physical Education and IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science Teacher, Coach (volleyball and basketball), and Student Council Advisor.

3: When you look back over your time here, what are you favourite memories? 

Watching my son develop as a student, athlete, and young man.

4: How do you want to be remembered at ISB? 

I would like to be remembered as being principled.

5: Tell us a little bit where you’re going next.

I have accepted a tenure track Assistant Professor position at Towson University in Maryland.
