This year is very special and will be very exciting to watch because there will be five teams that will be relegated to Thailand League 2, the second division of the Thailand league. Not only will the relegation battle be interesting, but the fight for the championship will be an impressive battle because of the poor form of some big teams such as SCG Muangthong United, Ratchaburi, Singha Chiangrai United, and Bangkok Glass. Such poor form from a big team makes the season more interesting because of the higher chance that a small team will win the league, and it is always fun to see the underdog win! One manager resigned from Muangthoung United and Ratchaburi has already changed two managers this season.

Why will Buriram United will defend the title?

Based on recent evidence, it is highly likely that Buriram United will defend the title again. They are a very strong team and all the players have very high potentials, making it easy for them to win the league.

Bangkok United will likely get second place, as Buriram United is just too strong. However, Bangkok United will definitely put up a fight as their players have a strong bond and have excellent teamwork.

On the other hand, SCG Muangthong United will likely not win the title and will get third place because of the departure of a very important player. Next, comes Port F.C. — a relatively new team, but a strong one nonetheless. Port is strong but has just been in the Thai Premier League for two seasons. This lack of experience could be detrimental to their performance in the League.

Afterwards, it is likely that Singha Chiangrai United will get fifth place and Bangkok Glass will end up in sixth place, both for the same reason that their teamwork needs improvement and the mixing of new players.
