In at the end of the school year, PantherNation is sitting down with each of the teachers who will be leaving us at the end of the year for greener pastures. Though they may be moving on, they have all made an indelible imprint on ISB.
They will be missed!
In this edition, we will be interviewing Dean of Academics and IB coordinator, Mr. Phil Rogers.
1:How long have you been at ISB?
4 years
2:What roles have you had at ISB?
Academics and IB coordinator, also touch rugby coach.
3:When you look back over your time here, what are you favourite memories?
My favourite memory of ISB is all the people I’ve met and talked to – students, teacher, parents – everyone. I love watching students mature and learn from challenging themselves… especially the current 12 graders because I’ve known them from 9th grade.
4:How do you want to be remembered at ISB?
As a good person who improved the education of ISB. Also I hope I am remembered as a team member who listened to others when we had to make decisions.
5: Tell us a little bit about where you’re going next.
Vietnam. I will work as a HS Principal in a school slightly smaller than ISB where I will hope to create and improve a strong learning environment.
Thank you very much for all your tireless effort Mr. Rogers… both in improving the IB Program and helping students reach their potential! Good luck in Vietnam!
